Law Enforcement Support for Your Event
The Fairfield County Sheriff’s Office offers Special Duty services for businesses, organizations, and private individuals who need law enforcement assistance for events, traffic control, or security needs. These assignments are staffed by off-duty Deputies or Special (Auxiliary) Deputies, depending on the nature of the request and personnel availability.
Special Deputy services may be requested for a variety of situations, including:
- Community events and festivals
- School athletic events, graduations, dances, and other special events
- Churches, banks, restaurants, and other businesses
- Construction projects requiring traffic control
- Private events requiring law enforcement presence
- Other security or traffic management needs

All Special Duty requests are subject to scheduling, personnel availability, and applicable fees. Because each assignment is unique, cost and staffing requirements vary based on the type, location, and duration of the event.
