The Fairfield County Sheriff’s Office Emergency Communications Center (ECC) via Carbyne, serves as the critical hub for managing and coordinating public safety communications throughout the jurisdiction.  Operating 24/7, the ECC is staffed by highly trained, Emergency Medical Dispatch (EMD) certified Public Safety Telecommunicators (PST) who handle emergency and non-emergency calls, ensuring prompt and efficient response to incidents involving law enforcement, fire services, EMS, and other public safety agencies.  The center is equipped and prepared for Next Generation  9-1-1 (NG9-1-1), enabling the integration of advanced communication methods such as text, video, and data to improve situational awareness and emergency response. Utilizing advanced technology and communication systems, the ECC manages the deployment of resources, monitors ongoing incidents, and provides vital support and information to first responders in the field.

The ECC is responsible for communications with the Sheriff’s office deputies, 11 township Fire Departments, and 6 village Police Departments.

The ECC also maintains all felony warrants issued by Common Pleas Court, non-support warrants issued by the Domestic Relations Court, Juvenile Court warrants, Canal Winchester and Baltimore Mayor’s Court warrants and all Protection Orders issued in Fairfield County.  The team of 18 full-time PST’s and the Bureau Supervisor are dedicated to maintaining public safety and security by ensuring seamless coordination between multiple agencies and jurisdictions, especially during emergencies and critical incidents.
